The Lioness
Amy Winehouse, a lioness in every sense of the word. Few artists at such a young age, leave such a lasting impression like Amy did. Her voice seemed to transend her petite frame, and blow the minds of millions of people. Since her recent and tragic death, I have been listening to her old records, as a way of remembering her greatness. Her first two albums were critically acclaimed hits, and with her new album Lioness: Hidden Treasures out in stores, I found myself wondering If I should buy it. The only reason I ever had my doubts about this album is because I was scared that it would be a mash up of a couple of songs that were not good enough to be on her first two LP's. Boy was I wrong. This album is great, and it features the great Tony Bennet, as well as artists such as Nas. These songs reminded me of why I fell in love with Amy in the first place. I have never heard a voice like her's before and I probably never will. Rest in Peace Amy. Myself, and the millions of fans will always remember you and that amazing voice.

The Black Keys "El Camino"??
In stores this Tuesday is The Black Keys latest album El Camino. After years of success, this album promises to be the band's very best. The first single "Lonely Boy" has done very well on the charts, and if the rest of the album contains more catchy tunes like this, then I would deem it a huge success. Lead singer Dan Auerbach sings the blues and Patrick Carney plays the drums and what you get when you put these two together is one hell of a band. In an age where Rock music is losing ground to the ever-growing Pop music (being played on the radio). These two musicians keep the spirit of true music alive. The recipe is simple, guitar riffs and drum kicks. Can you dig it? Hopefully you do, and just to give everyone a taste of the greatness that you can expect from El Camino here is the video for "Lonely Boy". Enjoy.
